The purpose of this study was to estimate the effects of daily lifestyle factors on metabolic syndrome among adults with visual impairment. A total of 390 subjects were recruited from 2012 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(KNHANES V). Data were analyzed by t-test, ¥ö2-test, and logistic regression using SPSSPC V20 program. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome was 19.3% according to definition of National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel ¥²(NCEP-ATP ¥²). Among the lifestyle factors, body mass index(OR=1.111) and hard exercise(OR=0.170) had significant influence on the metabolic syndrome risk among adult with visual impairment.
